2018 marks the 10th year in a row that SPORT24 HRS will have tackled the Absa Cape Epic.
We’re incredibly excited to be involved again in this famous Cape Town race and we can already feel the buzz!
For 2018, the route includes just over 13500m of climbing, from the slopes of Table Mountain to the Grand Finale at Val de Vie Estate. Converted into metres per kilometre (m/km) over the entire distance, it amounts to a “seemingly” low 20.5m/km and a little less than the previous two editions. But, don’t be fooled because the final stage has the second most climbing per kilometre of the race – a grueling 28m/km! The rough terrain will include sand, rocks, thorns, loose gravel and drought-induced washed-out corners which will be the real challenges for even the most skilled veterans of this race.
Not only will our CEO be proudly riding the race for the tenth time this year, but as the official Transfers and Taxi Partner, Sport24 HRS will again be on site in all of the race villages to shuttle Cape Epic staff, riders and fans to and from the various village points.
Our Personalised Epic services include:
